In 2019, BCO embarked on a bold and ambitious journey to transform the entrepreneurial landscape and drive social change through the One Million Mission. Our goal is simple yet profound: to help launch one million startups and NPOs worldwide without taking equity. We believe that innovation and social impact can come from anywhere, and everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, regardless of their financial resources.
The One Million Mission represents our commitment to democratising entrepreneurship and fostering collaboration and community on a global scale. Since its inception, the initiative has garnered support from philanthropists and partners who share our vision, helping us to empower a diverse range of startups and NPOs across various industries and sectors.
Our approach is centered around a two-stage process that provides financial support and resources for building and launching websites, as well as connecting startups and NPOs with potential investors for further growth. Stage 1 focuses on building a solid foundation by funding up to 50% of the website cost, with no equity taken. Stage 2 offers the opportunity to connect with Angel Investors who may expect a 5-10% equity to help take the business to the next level.
By offering a simple 3-step process, we aim to make it as easy as possible for startups and NPOs to participate in the One Million Mission. Participants start by sharing their idea and requesting a website to support their vision. Next, they receive funding for up to 50% of the project cost in the form of digital services provided by BCO or BCO partners. Finally, with our support, their website is successfully launched, showcasing their products, services, or ideas to the world.
